Install Relay and understand offline limits

Add a home-screen shortcut without assuming private games are available offline.

Before you start: requirements and access

A browser that supports installation or a home-screen shortcut. Network access for fresh collaborative game data.

Open Settings → Appearance and find Install Relay under the Relay app section.
Use the installation prompt when offered. On iOS Safari, use Share → Add to Home Screen; otherwise follow the browser-menu guidance shown.
Open the installed app and sign in as needed. Enable push separately if desired.
When offline, reconnect and reopen the page. Confirm live assignments and scores after the game refreshes.

Expected outcome

Relay can open like an app, but installation does not create an offline copy of private game data or a guarantee of queued score synchronization.

Troubleshooting

Games, groups and other data views show placeholder rows or cards while content loads. Agent shows Restoring chat when reopening a saved conversation. If loading does not finish, check your connection and reopen the page.
A dismissed, unsupported, or already-installed prompt may need the browser’s manual path.
The service worker provides an offline fallback and static assets, not cached private workspaces, APIs, media, or maps. Browser-local Quick Play persistence is separate and does not guarantee a cold offline launch.
